AI Settings

Create a key at console.anthropic.com → API Keys. Usage is billed to your Anthropic account, not to us.
Prices differ a lot between models — see Anthropic's pricing page. Model ids change over time; if a model is retired, pick another here.
"Test connection" sends a one-word request to the API (a tiny cost on your account).
How your key is kept
  • Stored in your database encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key derived from your config.php settings, so a database backup alone does not reveal it.
  • Shown only as its first and last characters. Never written to logs or generation history.
  • Sent only to api.anthropic.com over HTTPS, directly from your server.
  • If you change DB_NAME, DB_USER or DB_PASS in config.php, paste the key again.
Costs

Every generation and connection test is billed by Anthropic to your account, by tokens used. The exact tokens for each run are shown on the AI Questions page, so you can see what a run of 10 or 30 questions costs you with your chosen model.
