This is a project, task and time-logging tool, not billing or invoicing software (pair it with our Simple Invoice & Billing Generator for that), and not a full project-management suite: no Gantt charts or task dependencies, no client-facing portal, no native desktop/mobile timer app, and one admin login rather than per-person accounts.

Key Features

One running timer per person, really enforced

A person cannot have two open timers at once, even if two "start" requests land at the exact same instant — the database itself rejects the second one, not just the interface.

Closing a project locks it, without losing history

Once a project is closed, no new task can be added to it and no new timer can be started against its tasks. Everything already recorded — tasks, statuses, logged time — stays exactly as it was and stays visible.

Duration you can check

Stopping a timer records the exact elapsed time between start and stop. Per-task and per-project totals are the sum of those logged entries, not a separate number that can drift out of sync.

Technical Requirements

PHP 7.4+ (tested on PHP 8.5), MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10+ (tested on MySQL 8.0), and the mysqli extension. Plain PHP, no framework dependency. Every form is CSRF-protected and all database access uses prepared statements.

Can it generate an invoice from logged hours?

Not on its own — it tracks and totals time. Pair it with a billing tool (our Simple Invoice & Billing Generator works well) to turn hours into an invoice.

What happens to a project's tasks when I close it?

They stay exactly as they are and remain fully visible with their logged time. Closing only blocks adding new tasks or starting new timers under that project — it can be reopened at any time.

Can two team members work on the same task at once?

Yes — each person's timer is tracked independently by team member, not by task, so multiple people can log time on the same task without conflict.

Is the commercial license included?

Yes — every purchase includes a genuine commercial license for your own business or client work.

Is it tested on PHP 8?

Yes — every page was tested end to end on PHP 8.5 with MySQL 8, including bad-input and concurrent-request checks.
