Key Features
Beds are counted, not guessed
A room admits residents only while it has free beds. This is enforced by locking the room during admission, so six people racing for the last bed still result in exactly one admission.
Rent dues that respect real life
The dues list for a month includes residents who were there in that month: people who joined later are not chased for earlier months, and people who left are not billed for months after they went, but still owe the month they left in.
Payments that add up
Rent can be paid in parts. A month cannot be paid beyond the rent due, cannot be recorded before someone joined or after they left, and the history shows Paid or Part paid per month.
Sensible room rules
A room cannot be given fewer beds than its current residents, and a room with residents cannot be deleted.
