What it is not

A ready-to-deploy PHP and MySQL system for events with limited seats. Create an event, share its public sign-up link, and every registration gets a ticket code. On the day, enter the code at the check-in desk. The event can never be sold past its capacity, however many people register at once.

This does not take online payments: ticket price is recorded for your reference and the ticket value on the dashboard, but collecting money is up to you. It also does not send emails, generate QR codes or PDF tickets, or handle waiting lists or multiple ticket types.
Key Features
Never oversold
The event is locked while seats are counted and the registration saved. In our tests, ten people registering at once for three seats left exactly three registrations, and six groups of two competing for five seats left exactly two groups.
A public page that shows only what visitors need
Title, date, venue, price and seats left. Other attendees' names and emails are never shown. Registration closes automatically when the event is full, closed, cancelled or in the past.
Tickets that work once
Each registration gets a random 8-character code with no easily confused characters (no 0/O or 1/I). Check-in accepts it once, tells you if it was already used, and refuses cancelled tickets.
Sensible capacity changes
You can raise the seat count any time, but not lower it below the seats already registered.
