Library Manager · for School & college libraries
Issue, return, due dates and fines for a school or college library
A catalogue that knows how many copies you own, members who are active or suspended, issue and return with due dates, fines calculated automatically on late returns, and an overdue list the librarian opens every morning. Loan period, limit per member and fine per day are three settings in config.php.
One-time payment · full source code · instant download · optional installation add-on · non-refundable
Sound familiar?
- The register says a book is in; the shelf says it is not; nobody knows who has it.
- Fines are argued about because nobody wrote the due date down.
- Library automation suites are sized for universities and priced like them.
- The last copy of a popular book gets issued twice on a busy day.
How it works
- 1
Build the catalogue
Add books with the number of copies you own, and members with active or suspended status. Set the loan period, loan limit and fine per day in config.php.
- 2
Issue and return
Issue a copy to a member — the last copy can only ever be issued to one person, even under simultaneous requests — and record the return; late returns get the fine automatically.
- 3
Chase overdue books
The overdue list and the dashboard show what is late and by how much, so the morning check takes a minute.
Nothing is changed in your ad accounts automatically: every recommendation is approved and applied by you, and drafted campaigns arrive paused.

A good fit if… and not if…
Good fit
- School, college and coaching-centre libraries run by one librarian
- Small community or office libraries
- Developers delivering a library's first circulation system
Not the right tool when
- Barcode or RFID scanning (entries are by search and selection)
- Reservations or holds, SMS/email overdue notices
- An online public catalogue for readers to search from home
Questions school & college libraries ask
Does it scan barcodes?
No. You find the book and the member by search; a barcode scanner that types into the search box would work, but there is no dedicated barcode module.
How are fines calculated?
From the due date and the fine per day set in config.php, automatically when a return is recorded late.
Can students search the catalogue online?
Not in this edition — there is no public catalogue page.
Can I change the loan period?
Yes: loan period, loan limit per member and fine per day are settings in config.php.
Is it multi-user?
One administrator login, like the rest of the catalog.
Can I see it first?
Yes — preview pages with sample data.
